Count Cashier

Count Room Operations:

• Accurately count and reconcile large volumes of currency, chips, and vouchers from various casino departments, including slots and table games.
• Operate counting machines, including currency and coin counters, ensuring proper handling and maintenance.
• Sort and balance daily cash drops from gaming areas.
• Safely operate heavy motorized trolleys to transport cash boxes and other equipment between gaming areas and the count room.

Recording and Reporting:

• Prepare daily and shift‑end reports documenting financial transactions.
• Enter counts and reconciliations into casino accounting systems.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Compliance and Security:

• Follow all internal control procedures, gaming regulations, and compliance standards.
• Ensure the highest level of security when handling cash, chips, and other assets.
• Assist in audits conducted by internal or external regulatory bodies.

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with other departments, including gaming staff and management, ensuring accurate transfers of funds.
• Address any inquiries or issues related to cash counts and reconciliations.

Teamwork and

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other count room team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with the training of new cashiers or count team members as needed.

Education & Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous experience in a cash handling, banking, or cashiering role, preferably in a casino or similar environment.

Other Prerequisite

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical dexterity and ability to operate heavy motorized trolleys in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work with counting and reconciling large sums of money.
• Familiarity with automated counting systems.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and accounting software.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Comfortable lifting and transporting cash boxes and operating motorized trolleys.
• Physical dexterity for handling large volumes of cash and moving heavy loads.
