Provide contractor logistic support (CLS) for Marine Corps Gunnery and Driving Simulators. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

- Reference training manuals to determine the course of instruction and follow lesson plans for various simulators
- Incorporate new training and changes into simulator training
- Set up instruction sites for training and prepare and print handouts for students
- Prepare training systems for operations, operate training systems IAW training system O&M manuals, technical manuals, and drawings; perform shutdown tasks at the end of training
- Perform PMCS and Operator-level repairs as required; report maintenance issues to the appropriate repair facility
- Assist in system testing events and provide expertise in identifying and demonstrating system failure issues, operation, or operator failures
- Use various test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, logic analyzers, sine wave generators, fiber optic test equipment, and other special test equipment
- Perform related collateral duties as required
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years electronics maintenance/troubleshooting experience
- Prior military experience required
- Experience as staff/instructor
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED plus vocational training (Military Technical School or certificate program) - Preferred:
Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Electronics
- LAV Operations and Maintenance Course
- MRAP/JLTV/HMMWV Operations and Maintenance Course
- Train the Trainer Course
- Basic Instructor Course
- Familiarity with devices such as AGTS, ODS, LAV-DT
- Knowledge in simulations and MS Office
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Working knowledge/understanding of military protocol/chain of command
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships, professional demeanor, and attitude; ability to work cooperatively with military and civilian workforce
- U.S. citizenship required
- Background in or working knowledge of Military Operations, Training Development, Doctrine Development, or Combat Development (Desired)
- Calibration / metrology training
- ETA CET (electronics fundamentals)
- IPC-A-610 (electronics assembly inspection)
- Electrical safety (NFPA 70E and OSHA 10/30)
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+
- OSHA-10/30
