We are hiring one or two outstanding postdocs to work on a highly interdisciplinary 3D liver bioprinting project. The candidate will join a large interdisciplinary team from bioengineering, medicine, and industry. Primary work location is the Department of Chemical and Nano Engineering at UC San Diego. The position is limited to candidates with authorization to work in the US.

- Work on a highly interdisciplinary 3D liver bioprinting project within a large team spanning bioengineering, medicine, and industry.
- Contribute to research in bioprinting, biomaterials, vascular tissue engineering, and/or machine learning, with emphasis on liver-related applications.
- Collaborate across disciplines to advance tissue engineering and regenerative medicine objectives.
- Operate in a fast-paced research environment with potential translational opportunities.
- Primary work location in the Department of Chemical and Nano Engineering at UC San Diego.
- A strong background in bioprinting, biomaterials, vascular tissue engineering, or machine learning.
- Knowledge in liver physiology/biology/pathology or experience with animal studies is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams spanning academia, medicine, and industry.
- A proactive, innovative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced research environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
- PhD in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or related fields.
