AboutThe Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace innovator developing advanced architectures for next-generation aircraft. In this role, you will work on groundbreaking autonomous and mission-critical systems, driving system architecture, requirements development, and MBSE execution for programs that directly influence the future of national defense. This position offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with top engineering teams, accelerating innovation and making a measurable impact on cutting-edge aerospace technologies.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Develop and decompose system architectures using MBSE tools (SysML/Cameo) across multiple engineering domains.
- Guide cross-functional engineering teams to meet program milestones and support design reviews.
- Implement MBSE methodologies within a comprehensive digital engineering ecosystem.
- Execute systems engineering efforts including:
- Requirements decomposition and system design
- Technical analyses and trade studies
- Specification and interface development
- Program planning and risk management
- Certification planning and execution
- Verification and test planning
- Capture and maintain system data and integration activities within the MBSE model.
- Work 100% onsite, collaborating closely with engineering partners and stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 7+ years of engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a relevant master’s degree or PhD.
- Proven systems engineering experience, including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation.
- Experience using MBSE tools such as SysML, Cameo, or MSOSA.
- Experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems.
- Prior leadership experience in systems engineering or architecture development.
- Ability to communicate architectural tradeoffs and technical decisions to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of engineering analysis areas such as safety, reliability, survivability, maintainability, system security, and product assurance.
- Understanding of aircraft/flight systems and domain-specific engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, software).
- Active Secret Clearance.

Pay Details: $69.62 per hour
