Position Summary
The Senior Manager-Sensor Chemistry is a senior technical leader responsible for serving as the subject matter expert in colorimetric sensor technology while leading hands-on development of new chemical sensor formulations, including sol-gel and polymer systems, and guiding cross-functional collaboration with microbiologists, engineers, data science, and functional collaboration teams. The role oversees product development activities for new R&D through verification, validation, and manufacturing support, manages a team of scientists and engineers, improves chemistry-related manufacturing processes, defines technical specifications, and ensures regulatory submissions are met.
It requires 6+ years of industry experience (preferably in FDA-regulated environments), strong expertise in chemical formulation and analytical chemistry, proven leadership and excellent communication and organizational capabilities.

Required Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor degree required
- 6 years of industry experience in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, polymer chemistry, and sol-gel formulations and demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others

Preferred Education, Training and Experience
- Advanced degree preferred in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering

Summary of Additional Role Details
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of approximately 1-5 employees; no indirect supervision. - Working Conditions:
Includes physical requirements such as prolonged stationary positioning, stair and ladder use, PPE wear, and material handling up to 50 pounds.
Travel required:
up to 50% during Q2 and Q3 of 2026.
