NDT Responsible Level 3 (City of Industry, CA)
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in City of Industry is currently looking for an NDT Responsible Level 3 to join our team! This role will be reporting to our NDT Supervisor at our Aerospace Manufactory in City of Industry, CA.

Hourly Rate: $35 - $40 DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES- Organize castings, fixtures, gauges, materials, documentation, and hand/power tools necessary to complete assigned jobs and checks all documentation (travelers, special instructions, etc.) to help ensure the best possible results
- Position and straighten castings using hand or power tools, including visual and dimensional inspection and reference to travelers and/or work instructions to ens
- Evaluate and improve capability of NDT processes to eliminate customer escapes while improving efficiency, productivity and flow
- Develop, review, approve NDT techniques in accordance with customer requirements
- Qualification, training, testing and periodic over-reading of Level I, II & III inspectors
- Read, interpret and apply customer and industry standards related to NDT methodology and other general specifications
- NDT procedure, technique and revision development, internal auditing, problem solving
- Establish initial and recurrent training programs for Penetrant and Radiography inspectors
- Communicate and coordinate as necessary with key internal customers such as Engineering, Operations and Management
- Review and interpretation of customer industry specifications
- Offer training to Level II, Level I employees and trainees when necessary, which may include all shifts
- Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s) utilized by CPP
- Approve NDT procedures and other NDT-related work instructions for technical adequacy in the method in which they are certified
- Obtain required customer certifications, as needed
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required as well as one year at Level II with a 4 year college degree; 2 years at Level II with a 2 year college degree or 4 years at Level II with no college degree - Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in NDT as a Level 2 or - Minimum 2 years of experience in NDT as a Level 2 with 2-year Degree in Science or Engineering or
- Minimum 1 year of experience in NDT as a Level 2 with 4 year Degree in Science or Engineering
- Certifications/Licenses:
Must hold at least 1 of the following certifications with the ability to obtain the other within 12 months. - ASNT trained certified Level III in Penetrant Per NAS
410 aerospace standards - ASNT trained certified Level III in Radiography Per NAS
410 aerospace standards - ASTN certification
- Customer NDT certifications
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations
