Job SummaryThe Fabrication Incumbent will be a key member of the AMTD team, responsible for a wide range of fabrication and welding tasks. This individual will work closely with engineers, metallurgists, and technicians to develop and refine fabrication techniques and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metallurgy and a passion for innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate lathes, mills, and other machine shop machines to fabricate components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards.
- Minimum of5-7 yearsof relevant machining experience.
- Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, and various machining equipment.
- Must have strong attention to detail and precision.
- Must have problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications are aplusand will be considered valuable.
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
