Project advisor HSE spain

We are looking for a hands‑on Project HSE Advisor to support a major infrastructure project in Gatica, Spain. This is a site‑based role where you will act as the visible safety presence, working closely with project teams and contractors to ensure safe and compliant execution of onshore and nearshore activities.

• Provide day‑to‑day HSE support on site and act as SHE Champion
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
• Communicate HSE requirements to contractors and monitor compliance
• Participate in risk assessments, workshops, and readiness drills
• Coordinate permit‑to‑work processes and verify HSE requirements in RAMS and method statements
• Conduct site inspections, safety walks, and environmental monitoring
• Support HSE audits and ensure compliance with legal and project requirements
• Assist with incident and near‑miss investigations and follow‑up actions
• Contribute to HSE reporting and KPI tracking
• Coordinate HSE matters with marine/offshore teams for nearshore works

• Operational reporting to the Project Health & Safety Manager
• Functional reporting to the Head of HSE — Projects & Tenders
• Close collaboration with Site Management, Installation, and Marine teams

• Degree in Engineering, Health & Safety, or related field
• Several years of site‑based HSE experience in infrastructure, construction, marine, or offshore projects
• Experience working with contractors in complex environments
• Strong practical skills in inductions, inspections, and incident support
• Knowledge of permit‑to‑work systems and HSE documentation
• Fluent English;
  Spanish is highly desirable
• Relevant safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) preferred
