  • Collaborate with a forward-thinking team of GHG emissions experts focused on enhancing emissions estimation across the Commodity Insights portfolio.

  • Work on groundbreaking insights into commodity-related emissions, leveraging some of the world’s most extensive and detailed data sets that span sectors and value chains.

  • Partner with specialists across multiple industries to build analytical tools that reveal where emissions occur, why they happen, and how they can be mitigated.

  • Contribute to the global understanding of emissions tied to commodities and support the identification of effective decarbonization pathways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an integral part of a team focused on developing and scaling GHG emissions estimation and quantification capabilities across the Commodity Insights business.

  • Provide strategic input and lead discussions on best practices in emissions accounting and quantification methodologies.

  • Support the preparation of detailed reports and estimates, serve as a key resource for emission accounting expertise, and help shape future research initiatives.

  • Conduct in-depth research spanning industrial processes, commodities, and products within the broader energy value chain.

  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to share insights, collaborate on priority initiatives, and drive the development of project deliverables.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in GHG estimation and life-cycle carbon accounting is essential, including familiarity with various emission sources across commodity sectors.

  • Deep expertise in emissions associated with refined oil products and petrochemical operations
    , including modeling refinery emissions and understanding process energy allocations.

  • Broad knowledge of diverse energy supply chains and commodities, including upstream and midstream oil & gas, hydrogen, biofuels, and metals & mining.

  • Strong skills in handling large datasets, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases
    , and cloud-based analytical platforms.

  • Familiarity with ASPEN process modeling software is advantageous.

  • Experience with
    Python (ability to read/write code) is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within team settings and across a complex, matrixed organization, with strong cross-functional communication.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • A graduate degree in engineering, environmental science
    , or a related technical discipline is preferred.
