What to ExpectAs an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Versailles, MO facility, you will be a Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for planning, negotiation, logistics, and materials, accessories, tools and services purchasing needs of the facility. The position complies and maintains vital information and records in the materials/purchasing division.
Key Responsibilities (to name a few)- Schedules supplies and materials orders according to production schedule, and coordinates the delivery of parts/materials, resale items, services and equipment.
- Controls the inventory assigned products/materials in accordance with management objectives.
- Expedites requirements as needed.
- Assists in supplier selection and acts as a primary contact with suppliers.
- Conducts contract negotiations with suppliers, resolves any problems concerning price, quality, or delivery.
- Works with accounting and receiving departments on invoices and receipts.
- Be an assertive self-starter
- General inventory control knowledge
- Effective time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- 3 years progressive purchasing experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Oracle
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
