Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, loop checks & commissioning of a wide range of instrumentation and control systems used in our industrial green field project. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance of our operational processes, directly contributing to safety, efficiency, and productivity.
The Instrument Technician operates at the intersection of technology and precision, applying electrical theory and a deep understanding of process control to practical applications. They work closely with engineers, construction teams, and operations personnel, ensuring that all instrumentation systems function correctly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Education: An associate’s degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field is typically preferred or required. Some roles may accept a high school diploma with extensive relevant work experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a heavy manufacturing, energy, or process control environment.
- Certifications: Professional certifications in instrumentation technology are often preferred and can enhance career progression. These can be from instrument manufacturers such E+H, VEGA, Emerson, Etc.
- Tools: Candidate must possess instrumentation tools such as process meters, multimeters, hand tools, HART communicator, laptop/tablet & instrumentation software
