Network Engineer

Overview

You’ll play a key role in engineering and maintaining statewide telecommunication systems, including:

• Designing and supporting networks using:
  • SR-MPLS, MPLS, MPLS-TP
  • BGP, OSPF, ISIS
  • RSTP, MSTP, G.8032
  • TDM, WDM, GPON, XPON
• Supporting wireless systems, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), and Over-the-Top (OTT) services.
• Performing feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, and project management for broadband expansion.
• Maintaining antenna structures and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with service providers, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AS/BS degree in engineering or a related technical field
• Certifications in routing, switching, or firewall technologies
• Experience with IP routing, MPLS, and service provider network design
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and FAA Remote Pilot Certification (for UAS)
