Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Signals Engineer to support the development and optimization of advanced RF signal processing and payload technologies for space-based sensing systems. In this role, you will work closely with SAR, payload, and systems engineers to analyze RF data, validate collection performance, and enable new capabilities for operational and customer-driven missions. This position offers the opportunity to solve complex technical problems, contribute to new product development, and support mission-critical applications in a highly collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
Salary Range: $133,000 – $169,000 USD
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Irvine, CA or Washington, DC
Clearance: Ability to Obtain (TS/SCI)
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and optimize RF data collections to meet system performance and mission requirements
- Collaborate closely with SAR and Payload Engineering teams to test, validate, and refine data collection modes
- Perform signal analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar technical computing tools
- Provide technical insight and analysis to support engineering development and operational activities
- Generate clear technical documentation and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute technical content to RFIs, RFPs, and other business capture efforts
- Support cross-functional engineering initiatives and general software engineering projects as needed
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role (e.g., RF Engineering, Signals Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
- 4+ years of professional experience using Python for data analysis and signal processing
- Strong expertise in RF data analysis, including X-band systems
- Familiarity with SAR data collection concepts and system design
- Solid foundation in signal processing fundamentals, including complex-valued data manipulation
- U.S. citizenship with current TS/SCI clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain one
- Experience specifying and implementing SAR imaging modes
- Experience with at least one compiled programming language (C, C++, Go, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with anechoic chamber testing and phased antenna arrays
- Familiarity with CRSD, Platinum, or similar SAR data formats
