HSE advisor Rotterdam

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project HSE Advisor to support a large-scale international power transmission project involving high-voltage infrastructure in the rance
. The position is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands
, supporting onshore, nearshore, and marine installation activities related to subsea and land cable systems.

• Act as a visible HSE advisor and safety champion within the project
• Support implementation of project HSE plans and procedures
• Provide day-to-day HSE guidance to project teams and contractors
• Ensure compliance with French HSE laws and regulatory requirements
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and safety walks
• Support risk assessments and permit-to-work processes
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and compliance
• Assist with incident reporting and investigations
• Coordinate HSE matters between onshore and offshore teams

• Relevant HSE experience on large infrastructure or power transmission projects
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
• Strong knowledge of French HSE legislation and regulatory framework
• Experience working with contractors on complex project sites
• Familiarity with risk management and permit-to-work systems

• Degree in Engineering, HSE, or related field
• Offshore or marine project experience
• Recognized HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)
• Willingness to travel as required
