JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of the manufacturing quality systems for an assigned customer, supplier, or product line.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
  • Set and monitor SPC data to ensure delivery of consistent quality from suppliers or to customers.
  • Set standards for determining non‑conforming materials and scrap review.
  • Respond to and follow up on customer and supplier concerns with regard to quality.
  • Plan and coordinate PPAP documentation and submissions to customers and coordinate and approve supplier PPAPs.
  • Assist with CPs, FCs, PFMEAs and other APQP launch activities for customers or suppliers.
  • Participate and lead corrective action, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities for customers, internal, and suppliers.
  • Assist in the development of standardized work processes and process improvements.
  • Assist in the implementation of ISO and TS initiatives.
  • Update customer portals as needed to reflect correct contacts lists, certifications, etc.
  • Perform any tasks deemed necessary by management.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree engineering degree with 2 years of quality experience in stamping/robotic assembly.
  • Associate science engineering degree with 4 years of quality experience in stamping/robotic assembly.
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing and assembly plant processes is a plus.
  • PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, talking and hearing.
  • May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and move 25 pounds overhead.
  • Employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; good hearing is required.
  • Good dexterity with hands and good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without distraction.
  • Handle stress of a fast‑paced environment.
  • Able to work overtime as needed and travel as required.
  • Work a flexible schedule and extended hours on occasions.
