Hazardous Materials Technician – Monrovia, CA

Converse Consultants is seeking a Hazardous Materials Technician for the Monrovia, CA office to conduct surveys and abatement monitoring related to asbestos, lead‑base paints, mold, and other hazardous materials. Must be available to work evenings and weekends in addition to regular business hours.
Experience and applicable certifications a plus but not required. Converse will train the selected applicant provided this person is committed to the required training/certification time.
Opportunities for other environmental work (Phase I & II ESAs) are potentially available for the selected applicant.
Job Requirements- Asbestos and/or Lead certifications a plus but not required
- College degree a plus but not required
- 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred but not required
- Ability to perform field work requiring physical exertion
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends in addition to regular business hours
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid California driver’s license and insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
