Drafter​/Designer

Pay Rate: $48 - $60 (hourly estimate)

• Create, update, and maintain 2D CAD drawings, schematics, and technical documents for attractions, facilities, and show systems.
• Draft plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings based on field measurements, design notes, and engineering specifications.
• Support new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects by producing accurate as‑built drawings.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, project managers, and field teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into clear technical drawings.
• Ensure drawings meet Universal Studios Hollywood drafting standards, safety requirements, and industry codes.
• Participate in site visits and field verification as needed.
• Maintain organized documentation, drawing files, and version control within the team’s CAD database.
• Assist in preparing drawing packages for permitting, fabrication, installation, and vendor coordination.
• Provide quick‑turn drafting support for urgent operational needs and attraction downtime recovery.

• 5+ Years Experience as a drafter or designer building 2D models
• Strong understanding and ability to reverse engineer parts
• Experience with Solidworks, geometric design
  
  X or AutoCAD
• Strong attention to detail for documentation purposes
