Location: California
Pay Rate: $85k - $95k (estimate).
Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to help a leading provider of complex composites, assemblies and tooling in the aerospace industry.
In this on‑site role in Los Alamitos, CA you will develop engineering estimates for new business opportunities, create tooling methodologies and industrialization plans, and design innovative manufacturing processes while solving complex production challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop manufacturing methods and tooling specifications.
- Prepare engineering BOMs and estimate labor hours.
- Write technical content for proposals.
- Manage projects from concept through execution.

- BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Composite materials experience (adhesive bonding, oven cure, compression molding, thermal cure and assembly).
- 2D/3D modeling and CAD/CAM machining knowledge to converse with the machining division and relay information to clients properly.
- Experience working directly with the shop floor and assembly.
- Ability to read various schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with process development planning, including deconstruction of all relevant engineering requirements – creating engineering bill or materials, developing manufacturing process flows, and identifying tooling solutions.
- Ability to be on‑site in Los Alamitos, CA.
