As VP of Engineering
, you’ll lead a small but growing team of engineers across multiple disciplines—mechanical, thermal, avionics, propulsion, software, and more—guiding system design, integration, and validation. You’ll collaborate closely with product, operations, and other engineering leaders to deliver transformative technology while defining the processes, culture and architecture that will scale with the company.
- Lead, inspire, and scale a multi-disciplinary engineering team, growing talent and fostering innovation.
- Drive end-to-end system design, integration, testing, and deployment of satellites / propulsion platforms.
- Collaborate with leadership to define technical and non-technical requirements, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Perform feasibility studies, mission analysis, and system modeling to inform development decisions.
- Support business development with technical insights, proposals, and documentation.
- Establish best practices for engineering processes, quality, and risk management.
- Act as a central communication point between teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
- 15+ years of experience in complex systems engineering, ideally in spacecraft, satellite or advanced propulsion projects.
- Proven experience leading and scaling mid-sized engineering teams.
- Broad, end-to-end technical expertise across multiple subsystems and disciplines.
- Full lifecycle experience from requirements definition through AIT, launch and operations.
- Strong commercial space industry experience, ideally from a space prime or leading supplier.
- Deep understanding of system-level trade-offs and holistic engineering thinking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in satellite or in‑orbit platform development.
- Exposure to high‑growth startups and fast‑moving technical environments.
- Knowledge of space industry standards (NASA, ECSS) and mission analysis.
