X Hardware Design Engineer (Mid-Level)

to support Avion

X aviation product lines. Boeing AvionX

develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.

Who You Are:
You are an experienced

Avion

X Hardware Design Engineer

with a passion for systems and component design and electronics. You have a strong technical background, with a desire to apply this to the development of new and cutting-edge avionics systems and components. You also have strong interpersonal skills to work with subject matter experts as well as peers on the team to create deliverables.

Position Responsibilities Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements

Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications

Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

Supports fielded hardware and software as required over the entire product lifecycle

Helps investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to advance applications to meet company business needs

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement, related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3 years with analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications 3 years with testing and validating systems

Experience with System Integration, and System Architecture Design with Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) component

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Experience in Requirements Management, Electromechanical (EEE) component, Circuit Card Assembly, and Printed Wiring Board specification and quality requirements

Experience partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Strong technical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to collaborate with other team members and work in a diverse team centric environment
