- Lead and supervise field operations under the direction of the Area District Deputy.
- Oversee new and ongoing engineering projects related to oil and gas regulation.
- Ensure compliance with state policies, including the Conflict of Interest code.
- Coordinate with departmental teams to fulfill regulatory duties.
- Pass the California State Exam for the Supervising Oil and Gas Engineer classification if new to state service.
- Demonstrate relevant experience, skills, and professional qualifications as outlined in the Classification Specification.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that addresses the prescribed prompt.
- Compliance with the Department’s Conflict of Interest Code.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Complete the California State Examination/Employment Application (STD 678) and submit required documents by the final filing date.
- Acceptable formats: electronic submission through Cal Career () or hard copy mailed to the Department of Conservation, Sacramento, CA.
- Required documents:
Current STD 678, Statement of Qualifications (single‑spaced, 11‑point font, max 2 pages). - Resume is optional.
