This position involves bench testing the analog and mixed‑signal portion of our IC product(s). The candidate will be responsible for executing a bench verification test plan, writing multiple Python scripts to communicate with the device‑under‑test (DUT) which is for cellular chips in phones. The Python script also controls bench equipment such as power supply, function generator, oscilloscope, temperature chamber, etc. to monitor and record the DUT response.
Our product contains many analog IPs such as LDOs, ADCs, DAC, amplifiers, PLL/oscillators, comparators, and more. We are responsible for bench testing and characterizing these IPs against the specification.b>
This is a hardware testing position, NOT software.
- Develop Python test scripts to test and characterize the IC’s analog and mixed‑signal IPs.
- Build and maintain automated bench setups using Python to control equipment such as power supplies, function generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Execute tests (running automated tests) over multiple parts and across voltage and temperature conditions, working with a team of engineers.
- Analyze test data for out‑of‑spec or unusual behavior and identify bugs through bench testing.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware testing.
- Hands‑on manual bench testing experience.
- Programming experience (Python preferred; C/C++ acceptable).
- Post‑silicon validation experience (not pre‑silicon DV or design verification).
- Experience with bench equipment such as power supplies, function generators, oscilloscopes, temperature chambers, etc.
This will be a 6‑month contract with potential for extensions. Offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision plans, sick time, and a 401(k). Pay: $50–$70 per hour based on experience. Will be onsite at the Irvine Facility.
