Field Services Engineer II – MESO SCALE DIAGNOSTICS, LLC.
We are looking for an experienced Field Services Engineer II to install, maintain and repair MSD equipment throughout the assigned region. Extensive travel (up to 80% of the time) is required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification (IQOQPQ) of MSD instruments at customer sites.
- Execute preventive maintenance and field repairs on MSD instruments.
- Troubleshoot issues and remotely assist customers via phone and email; perform unscheduled maintenance if necessary.
- Review instrument logs to determine root causes of failures and develop written POAs for follow‑up visits.
- Assist with training new hires and develop updated training packages as needed.
- Maintain procedural manuals/workflows and training manuals.
- Serve as senior team member to review escalated cases and assist teammates with complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date service records.
- Associate degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of field service experience.
- Experience in the life science drug discovery marketplace.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and inspection equipment.
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of instrument repair with strong understanding of mechanical & electronic dynamics.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Logical problem solving and demonstrated ability to organize and move project tasks forward.
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Windows & MS Office;
Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus. - Ability to schedule and plan efficient travel between customer locations.
- Ability to independently complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Natural curiosity to investigate and fix problems with instrumentation.
Must sit and stand for long periods, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools, reach with arms, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Work EnvironmentUp to 80% travel to customer sites, up to five days a week.
Compensation SummaryAnnual base salary ranges from $88,100 to $134,400
; bonus and benefits available.
