Cochran's Wentzville, Missouri location is looking for a Licensed Engineer to join our team.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Professional Engineer to support a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for someone who is already licensed and has experience with water/wastewater design.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadway improvements, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure
- Prepare design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates
- Perform engineering calculations, site layout, grading, and stormwater modeling
- Support project managers with schedules, budgets, permitting, and agency coordination
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Mentor junior engineers and support staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- PE license preferred or on track to obtain within 12 months
- 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting requirements
- Experience working with municipalities, DOTs, or private developers
- Knowledge of stormwater modeling software or other civil design tools
