Talent Acquisition Lead @ Hussmann
Provide engineering, estimating and planning services for refrigeration systems, Port‑Pak, Econo‑Pak, coil products, cases and panel products to the branch or distributors, and across sales, service, construction, manufacturing and engineering departments to meet customer needs. Deliver accurate refrigeration legends to the Sales/Order Entry Department and provide training for new engineers in Application Engineering.
Responsibilities- Speak with customers to develop specifications while understanding the impact on Revenue and GP; possess advanced knowledge of refrigeration systems and components, including parallel racks and protocol; interpret customer specifications and recommend improvements.
- Make recommendations to the sales department on innovative engineering approaches and advantages of various product types for supermarket customers.
- Understand CAD functions and check CAD work to find errors and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with sales, customers, drafters, and consulting engineering groups to ensure proper system layouts and commercial refrigeration designs.
- Serve as the first engineering contact to assist field and customer service personnel with equipment application questions and resolve external customer issues without management intervention.
- Remain current with existing and emerging technologies in the industry.
- Provide process improvement ideas to enhance customer service and department performance.
- Expert in quoting; train others in standard AE quoting tools and mentor new application engineers while helping other departments understand our designs.
- BS in Engineering with a minimum of 4 years direct experience in supermarket application or design.
- Ability to clearly present technical information to internal and external customers.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and basic AutoCAD proficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with sales personnel, engineers/architects, vendors, trade representatives and customers.
