Aboutthe Role
As a Product Engineer focused on metal‑sheathed, compacted MgO heater product lines, you will blend both technical engineering depth and customer‑facing support. You will influence product roadmaps, support new product development, improve manufacturing systems, and provide application guidance to ensure successful customer outcomes.
What You’ll Do:- Advance and support Watlow’s metal‑sheathed, compacted MgO heater product lines, including product and process design, testing, and documentation.
- Develop and execute test plans, reports, specifications, and design packages; support modifications to existing products.
- Lead or support lean product development methods and continuous improvement initiatives for cost, quality, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure product success.
- Provide technical support to customers, including application guidance, problem resolution, and insights for product innovation.
- Help maintain product compliance with relevant safety and performance standards (UL, CE, CSA, VDE).

Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related physical science/engineering field; or at least three years of relevant product engineering experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10 %.
- Basic knowledge of electric thermal systems (heaters, sensors, controls).
- Experience with products used in regulated markets (medical, aerospace, analytical, process industries).
- Understanding of Lean Product Development methods.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of various scope and complexity.
- Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly flexible environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25 %.
