Hi5 Furniture is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to join our Kansas City team. This is a senior-level position requiring proven expertise in engineering project management. From day one, you will be expected to bring advanced knowledge, technical skills, and disciplined execution. If you have fewer than 5 years of professional experience

The EPM is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing all aspects of order execution—from initial customer requirements through final production—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining Hi5’s commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Review sales orders and proposed ship dates to develop executable project timelines.
- Create detailed models and production drawings using Solid Works
. - Define material requirements and direct purchasing when stock is unavailable.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams.
- Ensure production is equipped with the required tools, drill bits, dies, and fixtures to build parts to specification.
- Develop complete execution plans for each order, including design, material procurement, tooling needs, and production readiness.
- Work directly with customers to clarify technical details, ensuring a well-defined scope, deliverables, and realistic timelines.
- Provide clear written communication of project plans and updates to both customers and internal teams.
- Drive task prioritization and execution across departments, ensuring orders are processed correctly the first time.
- Monitor project progress and report status updates to customers and sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
. - 5+ years of professional project management experience.
- Expert proficiency in Solid Works
. - Deep knowledge of engineering design, manufacturing processes, and quality systems
. - Strong leadership, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (
