Jesuit High School Sacramento is accepting applications for a full-time Dean of Students for the Girls Division, open until filled. The Dean of Students for the Girls Division works in partnership with the Dean of Students for the Boys Division to manage the Dean’s Office and related responsibilities. Deans are responsible to the Principal for implementing the school’s disciplinary policies and Rules of Conduct (as outlined in the Student-Parent Handbook) and serve as Chief Attendance Officers coordinating on-campus event supervision.
The Dean’s Office aims to respond to student needs in a respectful, pastoral way to foster a positive experience for students and families and to create/maintain a culture of safety and belonging.
- Compensation Range: $90,000 – $110,000 yearly, based on education and experience
- This position is classified as a full-time, Exempt position

- Mutually agreeable start date in preparation for the school year, aligned with the published school calendar

- Manages elections for and serves as chair of the Discipline Board
- Keeps accurate records on attendance, absences, tardies, and discipline; issues admit slips and authorizes early dismissals as needed
- Monitors student conduct at athletic events and school activities; coordinates administrative supervision with the Athletic Director
- Collaborates with the Director of Campus Safety on supervision and emergency preparedness
- Oversees the daily bell schedule
- Assists teachers and students with classroom behavior and disciplinary issues
- Issues parking permits and maintains vehicle records
- Assists other schools when Jesuit students are involved in disciplinary situations
- Establishes and supervises accountability structures, including detention programs
- Makes locker assignments and coordinates maintenance/repairs
- Keeps lost and found items
- Acts as school contact with law enforcement
- Works with the Principal and administrators to publish the Student-Parent Handbook
- Counsels students in resolving personal, academic, and behavioral problems
- Organizes and publishes a schedule of Campus Supervision assignments during lunch/break times
- In emergencies, initiates contact with proper public emergency offices in partnership with the Director of Campus Safety
- Maintains records on theft and injury on campus
- Supervises the Administrative Assistant to the Dean’s Office
- Responsible for preparation and oversight of budgets as assigned by the Principal
- Prior leadership experience in a school setting is required
- A college degree is required; attainment of a master’s degree preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong multi-tasking ability and a self-starter mindset
- Ability to sit for long periods; operate a computer and office equipment; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
- Occasional evening and weekend work for events
