The TV, Film, and Media Studies Department is seeking part‑time faculty lecturers for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Positions will be filled as needed each semester, with initial appointments typically one semester and possibly renewed based on departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications• Appropriate academic degree (PhD, JD, MFA, MA) from an accredited university or extensive professional media‑industry experience in teaching.
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral English.
• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
• Relevant work experience and training.
• Doctoral or terminal degree.
Instruction, class preparation, grading, office hours. Course assignments are made by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean. Courses cover several topics in film and media making practice.
SalaryInitial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Faculty lecturer salary ranges:
Lecturer A/2 $ 5,507 – $6,677
Lecturer B/3 $ 6,221 – $13,224
Lecturer C/4 $ 6,825 – $14,523
Lecturer D/5 $ 8,593 – $15,211
