TITLE:
Middle School Science Teacher (Grades 5-8) - 26/27
Position Summary
The Camdenton R-III School District is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our science department at the Middle School. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a deeper understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Physics for students. We seek an educator dedicated to fostering curiosity and encouraging a culture of "Everyone Learning Every Day."
Qualifications- Must possess and maintain a proper Missouri teaching certificate for middle school science (certified for 1-6, 5-8 or 6-12)
- Pass all background checks and screenings
REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal
Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities- Administer science education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that meet state and national standards, utilizing a variety of instructional aids, technology, and hands-on experiments
- Competency in assessing student performance, analyzing student data, and making necessary instructional interventions for student growth that are based on data and best practices in education
- Maintain excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Maintain safe lab management, ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and equipment maintenance
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement
- Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to enhance the educational experience
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the High School Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent
Terms Of Employment- 9 month contract (179 days)
- Salary Schedule - commensurate with education and experience. Base salary starts at $43,500
