Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or related.
- Must possess Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education or be immediately eligible for the same.
- Must possess Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Teach language arts to middle school students.
- Share primary responsibility for implementing the District's required curriculum.
- Prepare and teach weekly lesson plans based on District and State guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date grade books and records.
- Follow all State and District testing guidelines.
- Prepare and disseminate report cards.
- Analyze data to plan instruction that addresses whole and small group, as well as individual student needs.
- Use and develop research‑based instructional materials and strategies to meet the wide range of diverse student population.
- Knowledgably, skilled and possess a willingness to incorporate the use of technology within the curriculum to enhance student learning.
- Work collaboratively with his/her grade level team to effectively plan for student learning.
- Monitor and advocate for all students' academic and social development needs by seeking professional staff members' expertise and guidance.
- Evaluate and maintain student progress by maintaining current and ongoing accurate records.
- Establish and maintain effective routines and procedures to maximize instructional time.
- Convey high expectations for learning to motivate students to perform at his/her fullest potential.
- Create an academic rich environment that conveys high expectations and fosters student learning.
- Facilitate polite and respectful teacher to student interactions.
- Use a variety of communication means and strategies to regularly communicate with families regarding individual student learning and progress.
- Make provisions for being available for district scheduled parent‑teacher conferences, as well as other related purposes outside the instructional day to discuss individual student learning and progress.
- Share responsibility to provide adequate supervision of all students before, during and at the end of the school day in all areas of the school.
- Actively participate in required school and district professional development as scheduled.
- Collaborate and cooperate with site administration to adhere to the district approved evaluation system and guidelines.
- Positively contribute to the improvement efforts within the school.
