The Lathrop R-II School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Director of Special Services and Federal Programs. This position is a 0.45 FTE.

Lathrop, a community of about 2,300, is located approximately 30 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri and 3 miles west of Interstate 35. Lathrop R-II operates on a four day school week with school in session Tuesday - Friday. We currently have a district enrollment of 837

Students in K-12.

• Respect for and desire to serve students
• Experience in implementing special education programs
• Strong instructional leadership skills
• Ability to facilitate a positive learning and teaching environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of special education laws
• Understanding of federal programs administration
• Master's Degree with Special Education Administration certification and/or emphasis
• Successful experience in special education and the management of federal programs
