If you have experience working with kids as a tutor, coach, teacher, youth leader, or other role in which you demonstrated a passion for investing in students' future, we want to talk to you.

Location:

• Los Angeles County, Foster Youth Services
• Los Angeles, CA 90017

Schedule:

• Weekday afternoons/evenings (during the school year) and flexible weekends
• Schedule is based on mutual tutor and student availability

Hours:

• 5‑15 hours per week, with the possibility of 15+ hours per week within 30 days by working additional virtual or in‑person hours.

Pay:

• $25 per hour
• An additional mileage stipend is provided for tutoring at more than 1 location per day.

• Provide tutoring sessions to K‑12 students in various subjects using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

• Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer.
• Must meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements for this position.
• Can provide 3 professional references.
• Minimum of 60 units of college credits.
• At least one year of student‑related experience.
• Detail‑oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective communicator.
• Reliable transportation.
• Negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired.
• Love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar.
