Position Summary

The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a professional responsible for providing, supporting, and encouraging families with young children to enhance child development and school readiness. They work directly with parents to build on family strengths and provide research-based information through personal home visits, screenings, and group connections, creating a culture of "Everyone Learning Every Day".

Qualifications
  • Must possess and maintain a proper Missouri teaching certificate for Early Childhood Education, Social Work or a related field.
  • Must complete required Parents as Teachers (PAT) Foundational and Model Implementation training.
  • Pass all background checks and screenings.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are typically required for home visits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to speak another language, preferably Spanish (not a requirement).

Essential Functions And

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver regular (often monthly), in-person or virtual 60‑minute visits to share parenting strategies, child development information, and fun, age‑appropriate activities.
  • Perform annual screenings for hearing, vision, and developmental milestones (cognitive, language, social‑emotional, motor) to ensure children are on track and to identify potential delays.
  • Plan and lead group meetings, workshops, and playgroups that provide social support, networking, and education for parents.
  • Identify family needs and connect them with community resources, such as health care, education, or support services.
  • Support students with physical needs, health, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of home visits, screenings, and family progress.
Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building Principal, Student Services Director and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Terms Of Employment
  • 214 days; 7.5 hrs / day
  • Pay range: $17.65 - $17.75 or commensurate with experience
  • Benefits include Board paid health insurance, paid sick leave, retirement and other.
Evaluations

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Staff.
