We are currently accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessionals at Ruskin High School.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate's Degree,
or a minimum of 60 college credit hours,
or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment through ETS (see information below). - At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, understand, and effectively follow oral and written instructions.
- Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in supporting youth and their educational growth and well-being.
- Commitment to assisting the classroom teacher in providing meaningful educational opportunities that support students in reaching their maximum potential.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with members of the learning community, including teachers, parents, students, administrators, and staff, using courtesy, tact, sound judgment, and strong customer service skills.
- Professional demeanor with dependable attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and appropriate personal presentation.
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and follow instructional direction.
- Demonstrates professionalism by supporting classroom decisions and maintaining appropriate boundaries unless otherwise directed by the teacher.
