Job DescriptionStrafford R-VI Schools is seeking student-centered, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable teaching candidates for a Middle School Behavioral Support Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will maintain high expectations for student performance, provide engaging instruction and activities, and use strategies to encourage positive behavior in classroom management.
The candidate will:
- Create a flexible support program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth
- Establish effective rapport with students assigned to the classroom
- Motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs for each student, every day.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers regularly to provide support
- Provide social-emotional support and instruction to assigned students.
- Consult with students, teachers, and parents to identify and implement supports in order to guide students on a path toward success.
- Implement social and behavioral interventions in line with the educational philosophy and programs of the Strafford School District.
