RGSD is home to 13 schools, which serve approximately 5,300 students.

Summary: Report directly to the Substitute Teacher/Leave Coordinator or building Principal. To provide temporary support for classroom teachers in case of teacher absence, in order to ensure continuity of instruction for students.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Supervise areas of specific responsibilities as they relate to the classroom or program setting.
- Follow established classroom routines as outlined by building principal and /or teacher lesson plans.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher.
- Make every effort to continue the instructional program.

Minimum Education And Experience RequiredMust meet one of the following requirements below to obtain your Substitute Certification from DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education):
- 36 college credit hours
- OR Completion of Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program
- Ability and personality to work with colleagues, teachers, and other staff
- Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources

Substitute rates:
- $140/day for a day to day substitute teachers
- $230/day for long term substitute teachers
