# Assistant Professor## Description
*** The determination to appoint at the Assistant or Associate Professor level will be based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
*** The faculty member is primarily responsible for online teaching and course content development in assigned courses, applying their expertise to enable student achievement of program goals and learning outcomes. As a member of The College’s faculty team, the individual will deliver high-quality instruction in undergraduate and/or graduate programs, maintain curriculum relevance by developing and updating course content, and support student success through substantive engagement and the creation of an inclusive learning community.

Faculty serve as primary academic experts in their subject areas, representing The College to the industry, public, and accreditation agencies, and maintaining strong professional networks to enhance programmatic offerings. The role requires commitment to the highest standards of ethical behavior, effective collaboration with peers and leadership, and ongoing professional development. Faculty are expected to contribute to research, thought leadership, and service activities that advance The College’s mission and strategic focus areas.

Whether at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, the faculty member plays a vital role in upholding The College’s reputation as a leader in financial planning education, ensuring the quality and relevance of remotely delivered programs, and preparing students to become leading professionals in an increasingly globalized field.
** Organization Role
** Reporting to a Program Director or Department Chair and Associate Provost, this position requires a high level of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, faculty, and College leadership. Faculty members serve as subject matter experts, collaborate with instructional designers, and represent The College to the industry, public, and accreditation agencies. All faculty are expected to maintain and grow professional networks to enhance programmatic offerings and content.
** Job Scope
** The faculty member is responsible for teaching courses, developing industry-relevant course content, and maintaining multiple designations at The College as needed. The position is also responsible for updating course content as needed and developing thought leadership and research in the relevant areas of expertise. The faculty member requires continuing development and delivery of high quality professional and advanced education programs and services to The College’s students.

The College is a leader in financial planning education and the faculty member must maintain the quality and relevance of our remotely delivered courses. The faculty member shall serve as the subject matter expert and partner with the Instructional Designer Team in developing and keeping current of online course content.

This position will require some travel to industry and College events, in-person instruction/residencies, and live on-line course instruction. Faculty at The College are encouraged to engage with the profession through applied research and presentations that support the educational mission of the institution. Program enrollments at The College are primarily the result of the quality of the courses, referrals, word of mouth, and visibility of the courses created by the professional in this position.

Faculty will be evaluated on the quality of their instruction, content development, student experience, program enrollments, services to The College, and research publications.
** Expected Contributions

Activities:

* Act as the primary faculty member for assigned The College’s financial planning programs.
* Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in a variety of modality (synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid, in-person, etc.)
* Support other programs where subject matter expertise is needed.
