We are accepting applications from individuals who seek a long‑term substitute teaching position. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of effective communication, collaboration, and successful teaching pedagogy.

:
Bachelor’s degree in English or related field.
Highly Desirable
:
Teacher preparation and/or a teacher credential, as well as experience teaching in a high school setting, is highly desired.

Graduate degree in English or related field.
Primary duties
:
The teacher will teach a five‑period combination of English II and AP English IV (Literature & Composition). This will involve lesson planning, instruction, student assessment, support as needed. Faculty are also part of a professional learning community for one period. The teacher will develop, plan, and present lessons to students using course material and appropriate learning resources. Supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of students are expected.
The teacher will establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere, maintain appropriate and timely records of student progress, communicate with parents, and foster learning.
Additional duties
:
The teacher is also expected to support the school’s spiritual program by assisting with retreats, school‑wide liturgies, and community service programs. The teacher must be significantly involved in co‑curricular programs by moderating activities and/or clubs and serving as prefect at athletic events. The teacher will assist in exam proctoring, classroom substitutions, and lunch supervision.
