Job Description

Woodland Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates for part‑time (Adjunct) faculty teaching positions in EMT courses. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college and are refreshed every two years to ensure an updated group of potential educators.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for EMT courses up to 10 hours per week.
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
  • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses.
  • Assess student learning outcomes every semester.
  • Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees as desired.
  • Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly.
  • Respond to student communication in a timely manner.
Required Duties

Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications
  • Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two (2) years of experience in emergency medical technology and any required certificates or license.
  • OR any associate’s degree AND six (6) years of experience in emergency medical technology AND required certificate or license.
  • OR the equivalent of the above.

Equivalency Requirement: All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date or have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before publication of this announcement.

Foreign Transcripts: Foreign transcripts must undergo a U.S. evaluation and translation. Contact the Office of People & Culture (HR) via their website for a list of agencies that provide these services.
