Job Description

The Fair Grove R-X School District is accepting applications for a Special Education teaching position for the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must hold a Missouri DESE certification in Cross Categorical K-12, or can obtain certification before the start of the school year. This position could offer coaching opportunities.

This position is a high school position where the course load includes special education math, co-teaching math, and transition.

• FGS utilizes a 4-Day school calendar, providing teachers with additional planning time, fostering a more focused and effective learning environment.
• FGS is a Missouri Career Ladder participant, providing teachers with opportunities for continuous improvement and additional earning opportunities.
• FGS offers a district-paid Master’s Program to support teachers in furthering their education and enhancing their expertise.
• Dedicated paperwork time: receive quarterly days out of the classroom specifically set aside for IEPs, progress monitoring, and compliance work.
• Collaborative culture: participate in weekly staff collaboration meetings designed for meaningful problem-solving, shared planning, and professional learning. You will never feel like you are working in isolation.
• Student-focused environment: work with secondary students in a setting that prioritizes relationships, group, and individualized support.

• A licensed Special Education teacher (or eligible for licensure)
