The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a community of families and neighborhoods located in suburban St. Louis, MO. Fully-accredited by the state of Missouri, the district provides an excellent comprehensive educational program for nearly 10,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. The Instructional Design & Technology Coordinator provides district wide leadership for the intentional design, integration, and advancement of instructional technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance teaching, learning, and organizational effectiveness. This position leads instructional design, AI governance, curricular integration, professional learning, and future-ready skill development.

As a key member of the Curriculum & Instruction team, the Coordinator serves as a visionary leader ensuring that instructional technology and AI are embedded into pedagogical decision-making, curriculum planning, and long-term district strategy. The role supports innovation while maintaining strong alignment to instructional standards, equity, data privacy, and Board-adopted policies and administrative procedures governing AI use.

Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction

• 260-day contract
• Exempt
• Salary and benefits as approved by the Board of Education
• Annual evaluation by the Executive Director of Support Services

• Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field required
• Coursework, certification, or demonstrated expertise in instructional technology, AI, or digital learning preferred
• Successful experience integrating instructional technology into K–12 teaching and learning required
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development for adult learners required
• Experience supporting teachers, administrators, and instructional teams through innovation and change preferred

• Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate required
