Job Title:
Middle School Principal
Position Summary:
The Middle School Principal provides administrative and instructional leadership to ensure a safe, welcoming, and effective learning environment. As part of the Laker administrative team, the Principal focuses on program development, staff well-being, and meaningful student engagement. We seek a servant-leader who models initiative, accountability, and a commitment to "Everyone Learning Every Day."
- Possess a valid Missouri Principal Certification or eligibility for certification
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a school or district
- Strong understanding of middle-level education principles, including curriculum, instructional, and assessment.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills to engage students, staff, parents, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices that align with state standards and best educational practices.
- Support the professional growth and development of teachers through coaching, mentoring, and professional learning opportunities.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making processes to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted interventions as needed.
- Steward a shared vision and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Ensure effective leadership teams and shared decision-making structures.
- Maintain high staff morale and a safe, inviting environment for all students.
- Assign duties to faculty and staff to ensure effective supervision and use of resources.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including discipline, scheduling, and facilities.
- Oversee financial records (activity funds, lunchroom funds) and manage requisitions, inventories, and budget estimates as directed by the Superintendent.
- Attend all administrative meetings called by the Superintendent of Schools.
- Build strong relationships with parents, community members, and the Board of Education to support student success.
Perform other duties as assigned by the district administration.
- 11 months; 229 contracted work days
- $90,000 - $100,000 dependent on experience and earned educational degree.

- Evaluation:
Annually. Reports directly to the Superintendent.
