RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • In collaboration with EU staff and nursing faculty, plan, coordinate, and participate in outreach activities with hospitals, community colleges, and regional partners, with a focus on the Allan Hancock College relationship.
  • Lead outreach and recruitment events specific to Allan Hancock College campus for current students and alumni, maintaining strong partnerships with faculty, staff, and nursing advisors.
  • Represent the university at community events, health‑care partner meetings, and information sessions, supporting events for the ADN/RN to BSN program.
  • Respond to and track inquiries from prospective students through admissions; maintain accurate records of contacts and follow‑ups in coordination with EU admissions staff.
  • Provide individualized advising and information to prospective and current students regarding admission, transfer pathways, and program requirements.
  • Complete admissions processes and support enrollment for the ADN/RN to BSN program, following campus policies and maintaining accurate data collection and records for admissions decisions.
  • Support new‑student orientation and onboarding, ensuring students are well‑informed and connected to campus resources.
  • Coordinate and participate in on‑site or virtual events designed to promote student success and engagement through the student life cycle.
  • Use professional judgment and initiative in procedures, communication, and student‑support strategies.

Collaboration and Program Support

  • Work collaboratively with the Nursing Program Chair, Assistant Chair, and faculty to align outreach and student success support strategies.
  • Partner with Extended University admissions staff and the EU Nursing Support Coordinator and EU Student Success Team to ensure continuity across recruitment, admission, and enrollment phases.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of outreach, admissions, and student‑tracking data to inform program planning, aligned to the Allan Hancock partnership priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and maintain professional standards in all communication and representation.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively while exercising sound judgment and discretion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Equivalent to graduation from a four‑year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job‑related field. Additional specialized experience that demonstrates successful application of required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis.

Experience: Equivalent to two years of professional experience in student services or a related field. A master’s degree in a job‑related field may be substituted for one year of this experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Experience in student advising, recruitment, or outreach within higher education.
  • Familiarity with community‑college partnerships, articulation agreements, and nursing/health‑care education pathways.
  • Experience supporting adult learners, transfer students, or working professionals.
  • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to student success.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Preferred experience and knowledge of student‑services practices, procedures, and activities related to outreach, recruitment, advising and admissions.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
