Fixed Term Faculty Psychology – Spring 2026

St. Charles Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for a Full‑time Faculty (Fixed‑Term Psychology position). Founded in 1986, SCC is recognized as one of the best two‑year colleges in Missouri. • Impart expertise, enthusiasm, and creativity in the instruction of psychology to a diverse student population.
• Effectively prepare and present course content, drawing on disciplinary knowledge to design engaging learning experiences.
• Demonstrate multicultural competence and create an environment affirming commitment to equity and diversity.
• Provide quality instruction in classroom, online, and hybrid settings while maintaining an effective learning environment.
• Seek and promote opportunities for student learning and critical thinking.
• Provide individualized support to promote student success.
• Provide verbal and written feedback to students in a timely manner, including grading of assignments.
• Maintain currency of course content and materials, including syllabi.
• Offer academic and career advising.
• Establish and maintain office hours and be available for student consultation.
• Perform ongoing assessment activities, including analysis of course assessments and data for continuous improvement of student success, retention, and completion.

• Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field, or 18 hours of successful psychology coursework.
• Professional practice/work experience in psychology or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience.
• Success as a collaborative and respectful team member.
• Exceptional communication skills.

• Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
• Experience working with a diverse population.
• Expertise using a Learning Management System such as Canvas and employing technology to enhance student learning.

Salaries:
Instructor $59,481;
Assistant Professor $65,523;
Associate Professor $72,032. Rank will be assessed at hire based on years of experience and education using pre‑determined criteria.
