Central Missouri Community Action is hiring Preschool Teachers for our Head Start centers, and we want you to join our team!

As a nurturing Teacher, you will positively influence the lives of children aged 3 to 5 years, fostering their growth and development through evidence-based early childhood education.

Position: Preschool Teacher for Head Start

Pay: $16.21 to $19.45 per hour

Location: California, MO

• Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for children of all abilities.
• Lead developmentally appropriate activities to foster growth in all childhood areas.
• Ensure a conducive learning environment by maintaining trusting relationships with children and their families.
• Maintain a secure, health-conscious, and well-organized setting to accommodate the needs of children.

• Requires either an Associate s or Bachelor s Degree in Early Childhood, or a related degree with coursework in Early Childhood, or a CDA.
• Experience teaching preschool-age children is required. Daycare, preschool, or childcare experience is helpful.
• Experience working with low-income families and children is preferred.
• Experience integrating Early Childhood Development theory into daily classroom activities is preferred.
• Ability to tailor approaches to meet the individual needs of children.
