- Salary Range: $44,500–$78,300 per year

To provide instruction, guided practice, assessments, remediation, and enrichment through a variety of learning opportunities and ensure a positive, successful educational experience for students. Ensures that all students acquire the grade level expectation skills set forth by Missouri Department of Education and Hillsboro R-3 curriculum.
Essential Duties- Develop a program of study that meets individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
- Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials.
- Prepare course objectives and outlines following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.
- Assign lessons, correct homework, and provide constructive feedback.
- Administer tests to evaluate student progress, record results, and issue reports or conduct meetings with parents.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
- Keep attendance records and maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Recognize and refer students encountering medical or psychological problems to district specialists.
- Maintain communication and build relationships with parents.
- Participate in faculty and professional meetings, conferences, mentor programs, and teacher training workshops.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
- Support co-curricular activities and student organizations.
- Assist in curriculum and personnel decisions.
- Maintain a safe and aesthetically attractive classroom and supervise students outside class.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Supervise 2 or more employees (Teacher’s Aide and volunteers).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Missouri State Teaching Certificate.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 10 pounds; repetitive hand and finger movements; stooping, kneeling, crawling, and moving between sitting and standing positions.
- Maintain confidentiality; communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Exposure to loud noise levels and variable outdoor weather conditions while on recess duty.
- Potential exposure to hazardous bodily fluids.
