Job DescriptionYuba Community College District is accepting qualified applicants for possible temporary part-time teaching assignments. These positions are filled based on the needs of the department and are ongoing recruitments.
Basic Function- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Engineering courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of Engineering classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Qualifications- Master’s in any field of engineering OR
- Bachelor’s in any of the above AND
- Master’s in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology
- OR the equivalent
Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Engineering to community college students.
