Woodland Community College is actively searching for a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates to fill part‑time faculty (Adjunct) teaching positions. These opportunities are available on an ongoing basis to meet the evolving needs of the college.
BASIC FUNCTION- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Economics courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of Economics classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees if desired
- Provide timely feedback to students and post grades regularly
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
QUALIFICATIONS- Master’s in economics
- Bachelor’s in economics AND Master’s in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance, or political science
- or the equivalent
