The Dexter R-XI School District is seeking applicants for the position of Substitute Teacher.

Application RequirementsIn order to apply for a Missouri Substitute Certificate, you MUST submit all of the following items:
- Online Substitute Certificate Application
- You will first need to create a profile in our certification system e.mo.gov
- Follow the instructions outlined in the Educator Certification System Help Guide for the Certification System.
- After creating your profile in our certification system, find the “application” link in the menu of the left-hand side of the screen to see a list of application types.
- Choose “SUBSTITUTE” from the list to create an online application. Complete and submit the application.
- A processing fee of $50 is required. The fee will be paid at the time the application is submitted online. Fees may be paid by credit/debit card or by e-check.
- Original copies of all transcripts
- Original transcripts from ALL institutions you have attended must be mailed to: EDUCATOR CERTIFICATION, P.O. BOX 480, JEFFERSON CITY, MO . Please be sure to include your Social Security number or Educator r on all of the transcripts. Faxed, scanned, emailed, or photocopied transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts become the property of the department and can not be returned.
- Fingerprint/Background Check
- A criminal fingerprint/background clearance must be obtained before a certificate can be issued.
- Log into MACHS to register for fingerprinting hs.mo.gov or call The 4 digit substitute code number is 2029.
- The district does not reimburse payment for fingerprinting. Clearance may be used for substitute purposes at any school district.
To access your certification account (online profile) you must first log in to DESE e.mo.gov, click on Web Applications with a user password, then choose the Educator Certification System link located on the User Applications page.
Your certification account provides access to each of the following:
- Apply for a certificate
- Print out a certificate
- View a certificate or pending application
- View assessment scores
- Check for the receipt of transcripts
- Check fingerprint/background status

If you have not logged into your certification account or online profile in over 12 months, please contact the Office of Data System Management at webappsloginassistance.gov or call .
To register with MACHS for fingerprint search that includes an FBI check, your employer/licensing agency must provide a 4-digit registration number. This number ties all agency information together to ensure that your background check response is returned to the correct agency in a timely manner.
MACHS Registration Number: 2029MACHS website is located hs.mo.gov. You will be required to pay for the services when you register with Identogo. Print your registration document and take it with you to your appointment. It will speed up the fingerprinting process. YOU MUST TAKE A PHOTO locations at this time:

Depending on the purpose of your background check, you may have the option to request notarized clearance letters to accompany the final results. There is a $2.00 surcharge if notarized letters are requested.
